Working Towards a Brighter Future
The ongoing COVID-19 situation has changed our everyday lives. Please know that your school counselors, myself and Mr. Riley, are here to help you in any way we can. Reach out via email for assistance with college and career readiness, mental health concerns, and any other issues that may arise while we are not in session. We are committed to supporting you the best we can and while we may not be able to meet face-to-face we can provide many resources with email communication! Here is a link to a PBS article that gives parents tips for how to talk to their kids about COVID: https://www.pbs.org/newshour/health/10-tips-for-talking-about-covid-19-with-your-kids
Most of all, take care of yourselves!
College and Career Readiness
Career Cruising is a program that students can utilize beginning in Kindergarten to explore careers and develop a plan to achieve career and college-related goals. Visit Career Cruising to log in and explore!
Your child has been accepted to college - congratulations! Now the tough part: how to pay for it. After filing your FAFSA and PHEAA, you will probably still have a gap to cover. Scholarships are available at the national and local levels to help your family with this gap coverage, but your child needs to put in the legwork to apply! See the 'Scholarships' tab above for available scholarships. Call your friendly School Counselors for all of the most up-to-date information!
